Customer Service Manager


Your aim is to provide excellent customer service and to promote this idea throughout the organisation.


You will be:

  • Managing a team of customer service staff.
  • Dealing with key customers.
  • Managing customers stock negotiation of stock losses.


You are expected to understand and satisfy the customers’ requirements and exceed their expectations where possible. Whilst you will have agreed core hours, you will need to be flexible and be prepared to respond out of hours.




  • Communicating courteously with customers by telephone, email, letter and face-to-face.
  • Be prepared to travel to the south of the country, including London.
  • Investigating and solving customers’ problems.
  • Ensure all stock checks are carried out to programme.
  • Negotiate stock losses.
  • Work with customers in the education of abused stock.
  • Handling customer complaints or any major incidents.
  • Keeping accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers.
  • Analysing statistics or other data to determine the level of customer service.
  • Improving customer service procedures, policies and standards.
  • Meeting with other managers to discuss possible improvements to customer service.
  • Involvement in staff recruitment and appraisals.
  • Training staff to deliver a high standard of customer service.
  • Leading the customer service staff.
  • Became a champion of our products and services and keeping up to date with the changes both in house and with our suppliers.
  • Managing budgets.


Skills required:


  • Proven Customer Service Management experience.
  • Ability to control budgets.
  • Computer literate including Word and Excel.
  • People management experience.
  • Training skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must hold a driving licence.
